Update

At this moment, I am staying in Thailand. I meet a lot of my friends and relatives. Actually, I am not a person who eat a lot portion of meal. However, when I come back here, I try to eat many Thai foods as much as I can. The most things that I really miss is sea foods. I attempt to spend time with my family because I have a limited time just a week to stay in Thailand before going back to Kingston. Because I can stay here only 9 days from 15-23 December, it is quite short for me but I think I have only a year to celebrate Christmas’s Day in London so, I would like to get that feeling. Moreover, I have several assignments to submit as well.

At first, I hope when I go back to Thailand, I can go traveling at Thai beach but my family and I do not have enough time and I go back in the period of examination of my sister and cousin so, I cannot go. Anyway, I can go brackish water beach near my home for my last day in Thailand and I feel very happy to eat a lot of seafood with my family.

However, for designing a business group work, our group still have some individual research for group project.

My task is packaging research.

I have observed from amazon website that there are many types of brown paper for packing and its price depends on how length and thickness. Nevertheless, our group has not done a conclusion of size yet. Therefore, after we have a conclusion of our box size. Then, we will know the size of package absolutely.

Even though, we have to stay in different countries, we can contact each other through facebook in order to update and share information.

We hope that after next semester first week, we can contact manufacture in order to order our stock for trade fair.

END UP of FIRST SEMESTER

Time passed very quickly, the first semester for designing a business is already over.

After changing  product for 3 times, we learn from those failure and finally our group comes up with a box for pregnant women who would like to keep memory for their child.

All skills that we have learned from lecture classes, we attempt to apply all those skills in order to develop our Memoby box. Moreover, comments experts of presentation from Wolf Olins and Dragon Den will be benefit to us because we will discuss with our group members and make a decision for improving our Memoby box.

For group work, we have to apply communication skill to discussion with group members. Additionally, we may share some business skill for suggestion. Moreover, we have to employ some transferable skills in order to make other people understand your opinion. Those skills will be beneficial to many students for improvements and experiences for future careers.

We hope that next semester we will have a nice and happy class including trade fair.

Dragon-den Presentation

This week is a Dragon Den presentation week.

My group’s product is a “Memoby Box”

This box is a box for pregnant women who would like to keep memory for their child.

It will be different from other normal box because we will provide a section for collecting a scan photo. Whenever mom open this box, the first thing that she will see is a cute baby.

Actually, I feel really nervous for this presentation. We have to present 2 times. After presentation, we got the feedback from experts. They said that we should develop product become more attractive and should do more research because our information is not that strong. Some experts also said that we can provide some space outside box for baby to paint or their hand prints in order to represent growing up for 3 months, 6 months or 1 years old or whatever. In addition, others give some comments that the box is quite heavy, we can choose other types of woods which is lighter than this one. On the other hand, for presentation skill, one expert gave suggestions that we should use our prototypes during our presentation, it will influence audiences to perceive your products easily.

 

Presentation at Wolf Olins

This week is a week for Branding Presentation

Actually, last week our product is a hatbag. Unfortunately, we changes the product again, we changed for 3 times. By contrast, we think failure can lead us become success. Finally, we spend whole of this week to select the product and build up our prototype. Therefore, our product is a Memoby Box, a box for pregnant women for collecting memory to their child.

After discussion, our group choose brands as “Momoby” which is combination of memory and baby. It represents that this for is for baby for keeping memory.

Our teacher make an appointment at King’s cross Station at 2 p.m.

After we meet at platform 9 3/4, we took photos for all MACE student at that platform. Then, we go to Wolf Olins. Before presentation, I am really nervous but I attempt to say to myself that it will be fine. After presentation, we got feedback that Wolf Olins staff are quite happy with our brand “Momoby”. They also said that this box is emotional product. it can be difficult to sell because of a lot of competitors so, we should provide something which is unique. After presentation, I feel really happy because our group spend all efforts and time whole week in order to develop this product and we feel happy with the result. However, we will attempt to develop our product become better than at this moment.
